Personnel paid on sponsored awards that fund human subjects protocols are required to complete human subjects training if they are directly involved in the human subjects research.

The Protocol PI is notified when a trainee is charged (payroll post) to a sponsored award that funds human subjects protocols. The Protocol PI can validate that the individual is involved in human subjects research, or exclude them from the requirement based on their role.
